Using tooth-like composite colour-matched for your smile, your teeth will look fully natural again in no time.

Introduction To Composite Bonding

  • Minimally-invasive treatment for enhancing your teeth.
  • Fast and preservative alternative to veneers.
  • Does not involve any removal of natural tooth structure
  • Treats chipped, cracked, and discoloured teeth.

What is Composite Bonding?

The composite bonding process involves applying tooth-coloured resins onto a tooth in need of cosmetic attention. We can treat your top and bottom front teeth with composite bonding.

Why Our Patients Love Composite Bonding for Smile Enhancement

Fast treatment

The majority of composite bonding cases can be completed in just one appointment. No follow-ups or recovery time are needed.

Natural-looking outcome

When composite is carefully layered onto your tooth, it imitates the appearance of genuine tooth enamel. No-one will notice that your tooth has composite bonded to it, as the composite is carefully matched to your existing tooth shade.

Close small gaps without braces

Small gaps that are interrupting the symmetry of your smile can be closed without the need for braces.

Improve smile proportions

Composite bonding can adjust the width and length of individual teeth, resulting in a more natural-looking smile and tooth and gum ratio.

Cost-Effective and Streamlined Alternative to Veneers

Composite bonding is a low-commitment treatment that yields big results. Unlike veneers, it doesn’t require any removal of tooth structure and takes just one appointment (versus 2 or 3 appointments in the case of veneers).

Treatment can also be an excellent introductory treatment to veneers.

Why Choose King’s Avenue Dental Surgery for Composite Bonding?

Our cosmetic dental treatments such as composite bonding are planned and carried out with tremendous attention to detail and skill. Our patients are always pleased with how seamlessly and discreetly the composite resin fits in with the rest of their teeth.

Your Patient Journey at King’s Avenue

Consultation

During your consultation we can identify which elements of your smile could benefit from composite bonding. We can proceed with treatment once we have examined your teeth for any signs of decay, disease, or dental infection (these will need attention prior to elective dental treatments such as composite bonding).

Preparation and Treatment

The tooth is roughened so it can accommodate the composite resin layers. These are gradually applied to build up your tooth. An ultraviolet curing light is used throughout to set the tooth coloured resins in place.

We will then polish the tooth to give it that unmistakable glossy finish.

Aftercare

  • Brush and floss your teeth twice a day.
  • Avoid teeth-staining food and drink as much as possible (composite is prone to staining and translucency).
  • Attend regular dentist and hygienist appointments to keep your veneer plaque and tartar-free.
